Caged and fast moving birds are difficult to photograph well, so hats off to the owner of this gorgeous little bird! It’s a Golden Pheasant for everyone wondering what bird could have such wonderful markings. He sure is a lot smaller than the pheasants I’ve seen in the wild around here!
Peacock (or Peafowl) are best known for the male’s extravagant tail feathers, which it displays as part of courtship. The male is called a peacock, the female a peahen, though it is common to hear the female also referred to as a “peacock.” There are two main species of peacock. The one which you see in the picture here, and the Indian peacock which is pure white!
Asleep? Nope! Just blinking.. because he’s an albino, he’s a little bit sensitive to light than other non-albino squirrels. But he is very unique, that’s for sure! Not to mention totally cute! 12 out of 10 stars on the cute-o-meter!
Look carefully. No.. that’s not a toy or a decorative collectors piece of a giraffe. It’s cake!!! Personally I don’t know if I could eat something so beautiful, what about you? It must have taken forever to create and bake such an amazing piece of art!
It’s been such a long time since we’ve seen more momonga pictures! Yes, I said momonga! That’s what this little critter is called. Doesn’t it look so much like our old friend Pikachu? I certainly think so!
When you’re a big white bear that usually lives in the arctic, and you’re now entertaining guests at a local zoo things can get a little warm. It’s a good thing this large fellow can swim! There’s nothing like a nice dip in some cool water to cool you off in the hot summer months!
Two parrots share a quick kiss on the head for friendship! Lucky they don’t end up with a mouth full of feathers.. that wouldn’t taste very good at all!
Two small pups share a lick/kiss to say “We’re Beeeesssssssst Pals!” I’d take both of them home right now.. that’s how adorable they are!
Awww.. Cute little kitten is reaching for something juuuuuust off of camera! Don’t you wish you could see what has this adorable kitten so captivated?? I bet it’s a long feather, or maybe a piece of ribbon.. or maybe a little toy mouse for kitten to play with! |
